It’s been three weeks since I returned from my trip to Spain. For the first week, I was so happy to be home, jumping back into my routine like I never left. Then the second week came, and a weird cloud of post-travel depression hung over my head. It was like the second my body was re-aligned with my everyday life, my soul started craving the spark that exploring somewhere new gave me. Could it be the idea that the grass always seems greener where we’re not? Something about returning to everyday life and responsibilities just felt so off-putting. On the other hand, I was able to do some of things I love that I didn’t have the leisure time to do while abroad — read on the couch all afternoon, burst with excitement after finding a new issue of NYMag in the mailbox, use a day of errand runnings as an excuse to cute outfits.

Take, here, for example — I was only going to Target and Trader Joes, but I chose to ditch my sweatpants for baggy jeans since these are equally as comfortable but make you a look a little more put-together.
Cool tote bags are my favorite purse options for quick errand runs. They’re also great for carrying lots of things while you’re traveling from point A to point B by foot (say, in the event that one of your Trader Joes paper bag handles rips 1 blocks into your 5 block walk home). Versatility? Check.

Not even a week later, I was back at Trader Joes with an even bigger tote bag and a new pair of personality shoes. All in all, it’s a simple outfit formula: white tee + denim + cool shoe + accessories (in this case, my silver hoops and red toes are mine).
Funny enough, one of the things I miss the most about Spain is the hot weather. The weather ranged anywhere from 80-100 degrees during my trip, and I really enjoyed all the Vitamin D I was getting. When I returned home, it was 68 degrees, and I instantly realized how much I took the weather in Spain for granted. It was 68 degrees….in JULY!
In the spirit in wishing I was still in Spain, here are some outfits that I wish I was wearing right now:
For a night out

The moment I saw this dress, I knew I wanted to purchase it for my next tropical vacation (whenever that is). I discovered this Australian brand through an ad on Instagram stories.
I love how whimsical bubble dresses are. Like, this one:

I was scrolling through Instagram and came across this photo posted by one of my favorite swimwear brands, Heavy Manners. I loved the way the girl in the photo styled the knit hot shorts with a baggy blue tee and gold jewelry.
I almost bought this skirt set for my trip to Spain but decided not to because I was at risk of it not arriving before my trip. Nonetheless, prepare to see me in this for a future vacation.
For City Strolls

Something so interesting about this photo is I had one thing from each outfit in my shopping cart as apart of my “prep work” for Spain. I never ended up purchasing any of these, but I still wish I had.
